Privacy Policy

The Seascape Sri Lanka respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect, why, and who else is involved. We do not sell your information, and we never share it for advertising.

What we collect

If you send an enquiry, we collect the name, email address, phone number, arrival and departure dates, number of guests and message you enter in the form. We use these solely to reply to you and to arrange your stay. There is no account system and no marketing list.

How enquiries reach us

Enquiries are delivered to our inbox by Resend, an email delivery service, and are not stored in a database on this website. To limit automated abuse, the server briefly checks the IP address a submission arrives from; it is not kept.

Booking

Reservations are handled by our booking module, Sirvoy. Anything you enter there is processed on Sirvoy's systems under their privacy policy.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, which device and browser you are on, and your approximate location — city level, worked out from your IP address, never a precise position. It sets cookies and sends this to Google, who process it on our behalf.

Analytics gives your browser a random identifier so that a returning visit is not counted twice. We never connect it to your name, email or booking. We have deliberately left Google's advertising features switched off: no cross-device tracking, no remarketing or ad profiles, and we never upload customer data such as email addresses to Google.

Nothing non-essential runs until you choose — for every visitor, wherever you are. Analytics stays switched off until you accept it, and choosing “Reject non-essential” keeps it off. We apply the same standard to everyone rather than only to visitors in regions that require it. You can change your mind at any time from “Cookie Settings” in the footer, including withdrawing consent you have already given.

“Cookie Settings” also lets you decide category by category. Strictly necessary storage — which keeps the site working and remembers this very choice — is always active. Analytics and Advertising are both off unless you turn them on; we do not currently run any advertising, so that category is switched off and unused.

You can also opt out with Google's browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser. The rest of the site works normally either way — nothing here depends on being measured.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Since enquiries live only in our email, deletion means removing the message from our inbox. Write to us and we will confirm once it is done.
